Adventure Tours

Horseback

Horseback is one of the most unforgettable activities you can enjoy at beautiful Kualoa Ranch. Kualoa's horseback tours combine horseback riding with the most spectacular scenery on Oahu. Riders take various trails beneath the cliffs and overlooking the ocean.

Keiki Rides Ages 3-9

Our friendly and knowledgeable guides will help keiki enjoy riding horses. This is a good introduction to horses for children who are too young to go on the regular horseback tour. Children are led around on their own horse for about 5 minutes.

ATV (All Terrain Vehicle)

Drive an ATV through the trails deep into scenic valleys and to remote areas rarely visited by others. Our ATV tours go out rain or shine - digging through the dirt and crossing seasonal streams are part of the fun! Both one and two hour tours are available. Our one-hour tour will take you over a saddle trail to visit a movie set and explorer a WWII bunker converted to an exhibit of Kualoa Ranch's movie history. Our two-hour tours take you even deeper into the ranch's secret spots.

Gun Range

Our Gun Range offers an opportunity for target practice. We have 22 caliber pistols and rifles, with 20 shots available for each for a total of 40 shots on the 25-yard target range. Safety briefings and equipment provided. Must be at least 16 years old.

Narrated Tours

Movie Sites & Ranch Tour

Experience where Hollywood's biggest blockbuster movies and TV shows are filmed. Board our ranch buses and see the Jurassic Park site, Godzilla's footprints, and the Windtalkers battleground and visit many other landmark locations. You might get lucky and see some filming in progress, possibly for the latest TV series Lost!

Jungle Expedition

Board our 6-wheel drive Swiss Pinzgauer and ride along jungle trails on this narrated tour. Ride up a lush, remote valley for great ocean and mountain views. This back-country adventure tour will navigate through isolated stream beds, power up hills and tackle rough terrain to secluded spots that overlook the windward coast and an ancient Hawaiian fishpond.

Ocean Voyaging

The Hawaiian Islands are some of the most isolated islands in the world. Using only the stars, the ancient Hawaiians traveled to and populated these islands about 1000 years ago. On the Ocean Voyaging Tour you'll learn about ancient Hawaiian navigation. The comfortable 49 passenger catamaran goes into beautiful Kaneohe Bay and past the famous Mokoli'i Island (Chinaman's Hat) and Hokule'a Beach, the ceremonial home of the first modern replica of an ancient sailing canoe. The lively historical narration is educational and enjoyable.

Hawaiian Fishpond & Garden

The early Hawaiians who settled on these islands developed some of the most advanced agricultural practices in the world for a Stone Age culture. After Captain Cook discovered the islands in 1778, more agricultural developments occurred in Hawaii that would  leave a permanent mark on the physical, cultural and social landscape of Hawaii. The Hawaiian Fishpond and Garden Tour goes through the fields of tropical flowers, fruit trees, and gardens before venturing out on Moli'i Fishpond.

Legends & Legacy

Before Hawaii was discovered, the area Kualoa was one of the most scared places on Oahu. There are many references to Kualoa in legends and historical accounts as to the importance of this island. Our Kualoa Legends and Legacy tour journeys through the foothills to the base of Kualoa cliffs while the guides tell of the legends of the area. This is a fascinating tour with historical information and compliments the historical exhibit and an informative video at the ranch. A camera is a must!

Ancient Hula Lessons

Hula is of of Hawaii's defining cultural practices. Hula is unique to Hawaii and combines grace, spirituality, and athleticism. You will learn this ancient art in a beautiful tropical setting. And then you'll be taught an ancient dance handed down from the 1860s. It's a fun-filled experience of the ancient Hawaiian culture!
